Therapy For Life’s Transitions
WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU ISN’T WHO YOU ARE
Abi Andrus (LICSW) is a trauma therapist available in person in Hingham and online throughout Massachusetts.

A SPACE FOR YOU
You want to feel better, but to do so, you have to stop fighting your brain and work with it. That begins by working in an environment where you feel comfortable addressing the difficult things you’ve experienced.
I work to create that space for people experiencing all kinds of challenges, who feel like something isn’t working in their lives. You can find relief utilizing talk therapy and evidence-based tools like EMDR and Neurofeedback.
It is possible to feel better, even if that feels out of reach for you right now.

Services Offered
Whether you’re navigating your own mental health journey, looking for support amongst your peers, or continuing your professional development, we can work together. Which option describes you?

Individual Therapy
I want to work with someone one-on-one to help me process my experiences and feel better in the present.

Group Therapy
I work in a helping profession such as healthcare, bodywork, or teaching and would like to join a group environment with fellow providers to help me process what I’m carrying.

Professional Consultation
I have done EMDR basic training and am looking to get certified, but I need consultation, or I have an EMDR case I’d like to discuss.

The Person Behind The Practice
That’s me, Abi Andrus
Therapists are taught not to be a person to their clients, that our humanity can inherently distract or inhibit the work. The thing is, to experience emotional and mental growth, you need to trust the person you do that work with.
Like you, I’ve experienced things in my life that were too much, too soon. Things that took a lot out of me and left my mind racing at night. Therapy is what helped me move past those moments.
I love seeing people go from feeling stuck to feeling capable of handling whatever life throws at them. I’ve been able to do this as a therapist for over a decade, working in disaster mental health, community mental health, educational, and private practice settings. I have been providing EMDR for over 10 years and am an EMDRIA Certified Therapist™. I work as part of an EMDR training team and I am also an EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-TrainingTM.
